Expertise and Customer Service
The Trumark team is comprised of individuals with decades of experience providing independent and professional “best of class” insurance solutions for financial professionals and their clients. They are willing to tailor their services to your needs… whatever it is back-office marketing expertise or meeting with your clients and their advisors to explain the benefits of various planning strategies. In addition to these individuals, there is an entire team providing internal marketing support for illustrations, marketing ideas and client interaction.
Thomas Bellig, JD
An experienced tax and estate planning attorney, Tom has provided legal and strategic advice in the course of his employment in the San Francisco offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP. Subsequent to those positions, Tom worked as a Managing Director in a boutique investment banking firm specializing in distressed debt investments in China. Knowing that every client’s goals and objectives are different, Tom offers a differentiated experience that is strategy and product neutral and is focused on aggressive client advocacy in order to achieve a “best in market” insurance solution.
Timothy Bellig, CLTC
Having spent almost a decade in the insurance business, Tim has developed high level relationships with key underwriters at the leading insurance carriers. As a result of these relationships, as well as his risk management and underwriting expertise, Tim is able to work efficiently and effectively with each carrier’s underwriting team to help ensure the best deal for the insured. Furthermore, Tim’s unmatched knowledge of the many products offered by the multiple carriers represented by Trumark, enables him to identify the best product fit for a client’s need. Tim received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of California at Davis where he attended on a football scholarship.
John Bellig, CFP, CLU
A veteran of 40+ years in the insurance industry, John has developed successful regional and national marketing firms that have produced millions of dollars of life insurance, annuity and long-term care premium. John graduated from San Jose State University, received his Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 1977 and his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1984. John currently serves on the board PLAN (Professional Life Advisors Network) a national organization dedicated to point-of-sale work in financial institutions.
Jon Allen, CLTC
An experienced professional with over 19 years in the insurance industry, Jon combines his knowledge in underwriting, risk management and employee benefits to provide advanced insurance planning to clients of financial advisors and insurance professionals throughout the Bay Area. Jon has served as a risk management consultant for specific projects and written many articles on risk management and underwriting for Consumer Reports and various medical impairment associations. With expertise extending to the business market; including group long-term care and employee benefits, Jon is adept at providing advanced planning to owners of small to medium-sized businesses.
Matthew Purkiss
As an Advanced Marketing Manager at Trumark, Matt works with financial advisors throughout the Bay Area to provide professional insurance planning expertise and help advisors deliver the best and most suitable solutions to their clients. Matt brings over five years of high-level, corporate sales experience to Trumark. As a Regional Sales Manager in the technology industry, Matt worked directly with executives at Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies to design and deliver solutions critical to their business. Matt received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business from the University of San Francisco where he attended on a baseball scholarship. After completing his degree, Matt continued his baseball career playing professionally for the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles organizations.
Dick Stoeltzing, CLU, ChFC
Dick has joined Trumark after a lengthy career as a Regional Wealth Consultant for Wells Fargo/Wachovia Securities where he worked with advisors and their affluent clients to help them better understand and administer estate planning issues. He helps clients focus on wealth transfer and preservation strategies encompassing estate tax, income tax, charitable and non-tax planning issues. Prior to joining Wachovia in 1998, Dick spent 20 years as an estate planning specialist for both E.F. Hutton and Merrill Lynch in central California. He obtained his CLU and ChFC designations from the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA and his B.A. from Davis and Elkins College, Elkins, West Virginia. Mr. Stoeltzing retired as a Captain in the U.S. Navy.
